What can I work on in the INFJ Coaching Intensive?

The beauty of individual coaching is that we can do a deep dive in any area causing you pain, and we can customize truly creative, accessible paths to crafting the kind of life you need. Here are some examples:

  • Collaborate on setting up your daily life to use more of your INFJ flow states to meet responsibilities. We gain back a lot of energy when we stop trying to get ourselves to function like ‘other people!’
  • Gain healing perspective on areas of shame and self-doubt. Learn to gift yourself with the same empathic understanding you offer to others.
  • Get to the root of relationship patterns that leave you feeling smothered or abandoned. Start learning how to get your needs met in reciprocal, mutually caring connections.

These are just a few options. We’ll work on whatever is important to you!

Why Intensive Coaching?

I’ve found that we make the most progress when we are well-supported over a significant period of time.

If you hit a roadblock, Intensive coaching enables us to connect right away to understand what happened and use the roadblock to refine our approach.

Intensive Coaching also enables me to consistently provide encouragement as you try new things, and a safe home base when you try new things.

I want to be available to you at a frequency that gives you the support you need to take the insight we gather and flourish!

What’s Joy’s INFJ Coaching approach?

EMPATHY

I begin by working to deeply understand what you tell me about yourself and your experiences. I believe that your sense of safety to share will grow as you sense that I’m seeing your life through your eyes, and feeling it with you.

INSIGHT

We’ll tend to your story with care, making sense of it together. As we bring compassion, rather than judgment, to your feelings and experiences, insight emerges. Confusion transforms into understanding, and areas of fear and shame begin to heal.

APPLICATION

While deep presence and careful listening are hallmarks of my approach, I’m also a very active coach. At a pace that feels good to you, I’ll ask questions and provide suggestions and feedback. When it’s a practical path forward you’re looking for, we will collaborate in mapping out your next steps.

SOCIAL JUSTICE LENS

I’m a 45 year old mixed-race Egyptian & white woman who is fairly cis and fairly hetero, and who lives with invisible chronic health conditions.

I understand that we are all embedded in systems of oppression, and that to work with anyone without acknowledging the impact of the imperialist white supremacist capitalist cis-normative hetero-patriarchy is to ignore a vast source of that person’s burden.

I work with folx whose identities are under attack to give voice to their experience, and to find deeply nurturing methods of resistance, such as rest, pleasure, and a community that supports them.

STRENGTHS BASED

One of my key strategies for addressing your struggles is to get to know your strengths! Many approaches ask you to fit a mold made for other types, but you don’t need to become a different person to flourish.

We’ll incorporate INFJ-specific strategies with our understanding of your unique and individual wiring.

I’ll help you:

  • Gain deeper clarity and insight about your areas of struggle
  • Become a confident expert at using your strengths to alleviate your distress
  • Craft individually customized strategies and practices to support your flourishing, working with the way you’re naturally wired.

What’s the investment?

I’m offering this 14 hour program for $1500.

Back when I offered regular once-a-week coaching, my standard rate was a sliding scale between $150 – $200.

  • 14 hours at $150: $2100
  • 14 hours at $200: $2800

I’m able to offer this significant discount because of the way I’ve structured the 12 voice message coaching hours.

I keep meticulous track of our conversations so that I can orient quickly during my coaching hours and jump in effectively whenever you reach out.

I hope you take advantage of the $600 – $1300 discount offered through this coaching intensive!

FAQs

Do you offer further discounts?

Nearly all my offerings will soon operate on a social justice-based sliding scale. While I work on these more accessible programs for INFJs, I’m offering this Intensive because:

  • Intensives allow me to dive deep into connection with you so that I can offer the time and focus it really takes to help you get momentum in the area you want to work on.
  • Intensives are also a way for me to be responsible to myself with my income while I work on resources for INFJs that are accessible to everyone.

For this reason, I’m not able to offer a further discount on INFJ Coaching Intensives.

Is the INFJ Coaching Intensive refundable?

Because I’m dedicated to giving Coaching Intensive clients all the attention they deserve, I limit the number of people I work with at any given time. For that reason, I’m not able to offer refunds.

What if part-way through I don’t feel like this is helping?

Radically honest conversations are key to getting the help you want. I welcome and encourage you to share your actual experience of our work together, and if it’s not what you need, we’ll explore what changes need to be made.

If being honest feels intimidating, keep in mind that coaching provides a safe space to practice the kind of authentic communication that’s needed in any kind of healthy relationship.

Share your true experience with me in a respectful way, and the first words you will hear from me are, “I’m so glad you’re telling me this!”— along with a big smile and sincere acknowledgment of your courage.

From there, we’ll work together to discern what will work best for you.

Do you make a promise about results?

In my experience it’s hard to gauge how long it will take to achieve the result we want.

For example, you may enter into coaching with the goal of finding more fulfilling, reciprocal relationships.

As we explore this, we may discover that a block to finding a partner is the belief that you’ll never be “enough” for someone else.

We may dig deeper and learn that you have a natural INFJ need for regular solitude, or that you need time to process alone during an emotional exchange.

Maybe the people you’ve tried to partner with in the past have interpreted your need for alone time as rejection.

Maybe they saw your need to process alone as avoiding healthy communication. It may have felt to them like emotional abandonment.

It wasn’t.

So, we begin there— with the judgmental beliefs about yourself that you’ve internalized from being misunderstood by key people in your life.

And we start to change that narrative slowly and gently.

At a pace that gives you the processing time you need for self-understanding to replace the inner judgment.

I believe the ethical promise to make is that you will experience progress— and that making use of the coaching time available and implementing the strategies we build together is key to that progress.

Why Individual Coaching Instead of Group?

The problem with many group coaching programs is that they usually have a curriculum or weekly structure. For example:

Week 2: Identifying limiting beliefs,

Week 5: Taking action,” etc.

There’s nothing wrong with structure, but let’s say that during “Week 2: Identifying limiting beliefs,” you realize you’ve been carrying around a very painful belief about yourself.

You need time and support to process this, but seven days later, it’s on to the next step, whether or not you’re emotionally ready.

Fast forward to Week 6, and you’re still struggling with the painful belief you carry.

At this stage, you’re certainly not ready to take Week 6’s action steps because you didn’t get the support you needed in processing Step 2.

Whether you fall behind or try to white knuckle it through the rest of the program, at the end of the day it’s easy to feel like you failed failed the program.

In my opinion, the program structure failed you.

Emotions don’t resolve on anyone else’s schedule.

Being rushed through the process of personal growth can result in more unresolved emotions.

That’s why my coaching goes at your pace.

As you discover more about yourself, I’ll be there to slow down and sit with you as you feel.

To help you make sense of what you’re realizing.

And to collaborate on finding approaches that help you progress from where you actually are.

Daily Voice Message Coaching Hours Schedule

  • I’ve created a variety of times to accommodate most time zones.
  • Keep in mind that this program is self-paced— you do not need to use every coaching hour.
  • On certain days you may choose to reflect on or practice what we’ve already discussed, or simply take a break to clear your mind.
  • However, the daily coaching hours are there for you to use as much as you like!

Some, but not all times are consistent each week.

All times are U.S. Daylight Savings.

(Weeks 1 & 5 are for scheduling Opening & Closing 60m Video Sessions)
